tons & tons of wishes piled up inside within a normal human,wanting to be achieved. what if i tell all this is possible,what if i tell; you could travel the whole world like a superman,sit atop the great pyramid and have a beer,become a champion overnight

research suggests that dreams come true so why not a dream that you desire everyday?

Lucid dreaming means dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming,which means you can take control of your dream and articulate it in the way you want. interesting eh?. The term was coined by Frederik van Eeden who used the word “lucid” in the sense of mental clarity. Lucidity usually begins in the midst of a dream when the dreamer realizes that the experience is not occurring in physical reality, but it’s in a dream. Often this realization is triggered by the dreamer noticing some impossible or unlikely occurrence in the dream, such as flying or meeting the deceased. Sometimes people become lucid without noticing any particular clue in the dream; they just suddenly realize they are in a dream. A minority of lucid dreams (according to the research of LaBerge and colleagues, about 10 percent) are the result of returning to REM (dreaming) sleep directly from an awakening with unbroken reflective consciousness.

Lucid dream usually occurs when you are in REM sleep. REM sleep is RAPID EYE MOMENT SLEEP occurs in cycles of about 90–120 minutes throughout the night, and it accounts for up to 20–25% of total sleep time in adult humans, although the proportion decreases with age (a newborn baby may spend 80% of total sleep time in the REM stage). In particular, REM sleep dominates the latter half of the sleep period, especially the hours before waking, and the REM component of each sleep cycle typically increases as the night goes on.

As the name suggests, it is associated with rapid (and apparently random) side-to-side movements of the closed eyes.This eye motion is not constant (tonic) but intermittent (phasic). It is still not known exactly what purpose it serves, but it is believed that the eye movements may relate to the internal visual images of the dreams that occur during REM sleep, especially as they are associated with brain wave spikes in the regions of the brain involved with vision (as well as elsewhere in the cerebral cortex).

now that we know what an lucid dream is and when & what triggers it let us explore the types of lucid dreams

Dild- Dild or Dream initiated lucid dreaming is a type a lucid dream when the dreamer realizes he or she is dreaming amidst a dream through encountering something unnatural or through certain dream cues or reality checks which include and not limited to

  • distorted fingers when you look into your palm or toes as in dream it is scientifically proven that your fingers are sometimes distorted
  • when you look into your watch or wall clock twice when dreaming you see two different time periods with huge variations each time
  • or anything happening unnatural with any physical amenities present in the dream
  • and also when you backtrack to see where you are, because in a dream you are somewhere in one second and somewhere else entirely in another without actually travelling there

although these are some of the common dream cue’s or reality check’s it varies with person to person. once the mind becomes aware that you are dreaming you can explore the landscapes or stuffs of that particular dream until you get excited and wake up

the second and the easiest way of lucid dreaming is MILD or Mind induced lucid dreaming in which you remember stuffs before going to sleep.The most important part of this technique is that you are continuously telling your mind verbally that “tonight you are going to lucid dream” to the point where you believe it.this technique is the most reliable as you initiate your dream rather than you depend on your dream to tip you off the dream cues with this technique you are able to explore the boundaries of dreaming which is limitless.Dream cues and reality checks helps

the last technique to achieve is WILD-WAKE INITIATED LUCID DREAM this is achieved by tricking your mind into thinking your body is asleep by basically setting your mind into dream mode. with wild you lay comfortably in a place where you are most comfortable and focus on breathing deeply and continuously until every muscle in your body is relaxed.your brain will perform several tests like creating an urge to roll over, or create an itching sensation though uncomfortable both of these will go away in time we may find it hard to keep our mind still when this happens but there are certain visualization tools like you focus on some lights and images within your mind and its important not to hold on to these images but rather let them happen on their own.but the moment is when you are no longer focusing on the image but rather visualize it physically as you pass through the dream

The dream journal

another important means by which you can achieve lucid dreaming is through maintaining a dream journal,in which you wake up every morning and try to remember your dreams (which is difficult at first) and then writing them with as much as detail as possible.and then look for some reoccurring themes or events in them to help you realize you are dreaming.you can then use these as dream cues
