The IOTA Conservation
The IOTA conservation is a community-based conservation effort with the goal of benefitting the world through planting trees, preserving forests, protecting endangered species, and more.
Who is The IOTA Conservation?
A blog post will be written for transparency depending on the success of the project within the first week, this effort is lead by the idea community members should be taking a more active role in conservation outside of the development of the protocol itself. If it turns out the community is unwilling to support a conservation movement or not enough trust is put into the project all donations put forward will be donated to the desired charities and the project will be closed.
How will The IOTA Conservation make a global impact?
Currently, there will be three types of projects, Personal, Donated, and Technical.
- Personal
because trust will take time to build a portion of personal income from the IOTA Conservation members will be put forward into different charities.
- Donated
Donations will be converted from IOTA to fiat at no fee so all money donated to each project will be used in full, exchange fees for conversions will be paid by The IOTA Conservation.
- Technical
Future plans include the support and development of technologies utilizing IOTA for energy-efficient alternatives to current-day technology.

- Team Trees — planting trees around the world (each dollar donated results in one tree planted!)

How can trust be established between the community and TIC?
The IOTA Conservation wants to establish as much trust as possible and as such will ensure all finances be made public through each listed charity. An example of this is through https://teamtrees.org/. Team Trees creates a registry of every donation made through the site, as a result, a quick “IOTAConservation" search will show every donation made by the IOTA conservation movement through Team Trees. Donations that cannot be verified through donation searches will also be added to a monthly financial report on the 25th of each month.
