I’m known for telling people that one reason folks don’t support is because you suck still. In an age when people feel as though you are calling them out when a critique is given, I understand that my words can be difficult to swallow. The guidance is still difficult when I am the one that needs to digest them yet again.

After years of coaching and training queer-identified entrepreneurs to get their start in business, I decided to do something new and start a podcast! I just knew that I would be successful because I’ve been speaking since the 80’s when I was giving Easter speeches growing up in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) in Oklahoma City. It just seemed a natural move to speaking on stages professionally and speaking to clients to now speaking to an audience that I couldn’t receive immediate feedback.

I have news for you.

This was not the case.

It was not natural.

I sucked.

It was time that I did something about the bullshit I was creating and find podcasts by people that were like me. To be clear, I’m queer as fuck. To be more clear, I’m a cisgendered, Black, book loving, business minded, pansexual man who is often seen as not feminine enough nor masculine enough. In all the labels that I find joy in desired, more than anything, to find queer podcasters that have been kissed by the sun so that I could remember just how amazing being a content creator could be for me.While I started compiling a list for me to connect with new shows, I realized that there may be others in the world that would benefit from such a list as well.

So without further ado, I give you excellence in color!
