Welcome to my blog!
This blog will focus on revolutionaries and untaught history. What I mean by untaught history, is history you did not learn from public education (perhaps intentionally) and must seek out yourself. I feel like there is so much history intentionally left out of public education, to shape the minds of millions with the same regurgitated American history.

I look forward to learning new information with my readers. There are revolutionary figures I hope to cover, such as Bolivar, Guevera, Luxemberg, Davis and so on. I’d like to encompass what each figure has done, what they believe in and their impact on society. It will also focus on important parts of history that have been glossed over. As an example, there has been research done on how poorly schools in America teach slavery and the overall negative effect of such views. While “separate but equal” may be explained multiple times, housing discrimination, racist banking, and experiments or “medical research” are often not taught at all.

I would like for my blog to efficiently teach and act as a type of archive myself and others can look back on. This topic came of interest to me because I think history is so important and too often it is disregarded. There are a lot of people that think because the history is the past, it doesn’t really matter. They fail to realize that the past shapes all that is present. With that, they tend to fail to realize the complex reasons behind social issues by not having the knowledge to truly look at things as they are, and not at face value.
I had a harder time than I thought I would, looking for blogs in my chosen topic but found a few that should be similar to my blog style. This blog is titled “Amazing women in history”, and focuses on women who are often left out of the textbooks. Another interesting blog I found is “Black History Heroes” which is self-explanatory. Lastly, I found a cool blog titled “Stuff you missed in History class”.
