Friendship is a toxic waste of time
Kris Gage

I am sorry but this sounded much more like “I desperately would like to have suitable friends and I am covering up my loneliness/frustration.”

People need friends because we are fragile and social animals. Because our brain still cares a lot of those primitive behaviors. Also, science has mostly show that interpersonal relationships are heavily responsable for the feeling of happiness...not even psycopaths escape those statistics. Socializing is more in the sphere of basic needs than it is in the capitalist interpretation of the world “what will I gain from that”.

However dealing with people can be difficult and overwhelming, yes.
