It’s not muddled thinking. The US invated Iraq — well known. It also substantially supported the Syrian insurrection — in the name of “self-determination” but actually to further bolster Israel’s and S-A’s dominance in the region. Clinton’s hackd emails support that point.

In either case relative stability was undermined and in its place we had and have enornous, near-apocalyptic carnage. Nothing muddled about that.
