Employee Communication and Employee Engagement

The organizations unnoticed driver is the power of communication among employees. There are two sets of thoughts with respect to employee’s communication. The employee is to complaint about his inability to perform the task in an organization. There is another version of employee communication that is sharing the message about his thoughts in understanding tasks. There is a vital difference in the understanding between complaints and sharing of ideas. The sharing of ideas is to the ultimate authority and he/she need not take steps to react immediately. The authority can take it forward to next level of discussion and they need not address it as grievance handling. The hierarchical structure in any organization warrants the personalised value of the authority and their peer group pressure. In the context of employee communication, organizations need to formulate policy to share communication beyond insubordination.

This idea sharing format of communication make employees to understand the job related problems. The solution of any given problems faced by one employee is shared quickly with other employee in the system. We can avoid any consistent failures in the performance of task.

In the case of engagement of employees, there are three categories of them viz., Engaged employee, disengaged employee and actively disengaged employee. The first category of them are able to do more than what is expected out of them in an organization. The second category is those employees who perform the given task as expected. The third category is very sensitive to an organization. They do not perform the given task and they tend to vile away their time in a non-productive work.

In the contextual of employee communication among the above three categories of employees gives repercussion in the performance of organization. The interlace between engaged with disengaged would give positive impact whereas the interlace between the activley disengaged with any other two categories deteriorate the organizational performance.
