I can’t agree more with this comment. As a designer there are some things that we’ll know and understand that we’ve spent our entire careers mastering. Part of the beauty and craft of print is to be ‘wow’d’ with a designers selection of the above variables. You would probably never open these things up to user preference as this takes away from your experience and skill in this area. I think with digital there should be a fine line too, we have to be careful not to give users TOO much control over our creative process… There is still a huge potential to be ‘wow’d’ on the web.
