This networking event happened on Monday 4th of November 2019 from 12:30pm until 2:30 pm. The venue for this event was Al Minaretein Building (College of Islamic Studies Building) exhibition space.

It was a tête-à-tête session between representatives of many companies and the students of HBKU.

I visited some of the stands and was able to extract the following information. Please note that this is all from an Information Technology point of view.

United Development — They work on Oracle systems

Malomatia — They also work mostly on Oracle, ARP and SAS systems.

Qatar Airways — They are looking for people with strong knowledge about the company and the work profile.

Aspire Zone — This company is working on health and sports sector. It is looking for mostly interns in those areas.

Vodafone — They have around 1000 employees in Qatar. They are open to different profiles.

Qatar Foundation — They have a business side, for which they need developers and IT personnel. They suggested to check their website when I would be about to graduate.

QTerminals — They deal with the management of sea ports. They have also identified 7 other ports across the globe that they are going to manage in the future. For a software engineer, the way to approach would be to get an idea about the tools they use and then work with them as a consultant.

Huawei Qatar — They have offices in Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. They have internship opportunities from June to July (6 weeks)
