The 0.2% of The World
We all live in 1 world, this world, this realm and yet there are many worlds within this one. There are many windows and doors opening up to this same world bearing in mind that these windows and doors may differ in size. The journey/path taken; be it having walked upon or sprinted on are too, different. Some may be engraved with crystals and diamonds trailed with bright shimmery lights while others may be layered with dust, muddy waters with a horrible stench, hiking up mountains of dead bodies piled up before us with a glimpse of what appears to be a light at the end of the road. The interesting part of it all is that we don’t get to decide which road we are dropped off at but we do have the luxury to be soaring from 1 to 1 based on our train of thoughts leading to certain choices and decision making.
With that said, with all these variations of roads for us to embark on, the distinction in terms of thoughts, views, opinions, perceptions and most importantly interpretations, are definitely seen amongst us. Irony of it all is that we envision all the same things through the same organ but the outcome of that said vision is completely different. These differences we see through the lenses of our eyes are actually how our minds operate, how our minds have been conditioned during our childhood, how certain values and principles were implanted, how our minds were controlled, how it was left alone for its own to be moulded.
It can be rather beautiful, to be looking through each other’s lenses, floating in each other’s bubbles as we bounce on through time. It can be enriching experience as we traverse through these new environments tenaciously, slowly depicting and sculpting how our lives would be like, adding on cloaks of wisdom and knowledge as we grow, progress and age through time. Sounds wonderful don’t it? But is that the case in these copper times? Where creativity is applauded but it ends with destruction, compliments given at the cost of shattering ones persona, success gained and envied by others but achieved through deceit and manipulation.
In a world as such, where everywhere you turn, there’s a person waiting to grab hold onto your hand dragging you into the darkness, an intoxicated environment with no escape. That’s the thing about the darkness; it seeps through the cracks disguised as the sweet nectar we think we desire. The influence silently eating us from the inside, a spreading virus taking control over our minds, emotions, words, thoughts and actions like wildfire. The darkness is a package made for us to tackle, this one Rubik’s cube we need to master.
See, everyone was given a white robe to be worn and to be presented when we arrive at the final destination. Would we still see any part of that robe being white in these times? How many coats of blackness are we going to permit to be absorbed and added on? Where would we find the tools needed to remove these stains? Where is the balance? Where is the homeostasis we doctors believe in so much? Are we going to allow ourselves to succumb to the darkness, admitting it has that much power over us? Do we even have the time?
Because our time here is limited, This vessel has an expiry date. We need to play our role as humans; it seems we have taken modernity and ran naked with it through the end of time. Being human, the most powerful being to walk through these lands, being able to think, analyse, decipher and most importantly pray. Remember that we are the light that trails our roads regardless of which. The soul within this temporary vessel, this loan we had taken, a promise given to fulfill our true purpose of being here where we are allowed to roam free as if it were our playground. This light guides us, reminds us of our true reason within us as we happily ignore it’s pleads and cries.
‘So many of us walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep even when they’re busy doing things they think is important. This is because they are chasing the wrong things.’ The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, to your community around you, to create something sustaining the hope and faith buried within us silently keeping us alive. It may seem like it’s a risky investment, but it will be worth it as we leave this realm-arriving at our destination. Looking around, the culture we have today does not make people feel good about them. We are teaching the wrong things and you have to be strong enough to say that if the culture doesn’t work, don’t buy it. Create your own; I call us the 0.2%. Let us be a part of this 0.2% that this world secretly longs for. It is too easy being a follower, take up the challenge, take the lead and let us increase this number, restoring homeostasis and balance to our world. Because most people can’t do it.
