The July 2022 security update is available for the Galaxy S22

Samsung has released a new security update for its Android smartphone once again. Some Asian countries have already received the July 2022 security patch for the Galaxy S22 series. It is possible that other countries will receive this update in the near future.

Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra have the latest firmware version S90xEXXU2AVF9. There are dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities that have been fixed as a result of the July 2022 security patch. Security patch documentation for July 2022 has not yet been released by Samsung. Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand are the only countries where the update is available.

By navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking Download and install, Galaxy S22 series users in any of the countries above can check for the new update.

The July 2022 security update is available for the Galaxy A23

The Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra were updated earlier today in select Asian countries with the July 2022 security update. In addition to the Galaxy A23, the update has now been rolled out to the mid-range Galaxy A23 as well.

Galaxy A23 firmware version A235FXXU1AVF3 is the latest software update. Germany and Russia are the only countries that have received the update. Samsung may soon update the Galaxy A23 in other Asian and European countries. We expect Samsung’s July 2022 security update to fix a variety of privacy and security issues.

You can now download and install the new update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install if you have a Galaxy A23 in one of the countries listed above.
