In case you just noticed that you are holding your breath, or that your body needs to move, this is your friendly reminder to give yourself a mini-recess break. 🌀 Unclench your jaw 🌀 Take deep breaths 🌀 Shake your hands at your side 🌀 Soften your neck 🌀 Release your shoulders 🌀 Self-massage Mini-recess breaks like these throughout the day keep cumulative stress from building up in the mind–causing mental fatigue. It will also help release any tension that soreness, tightness and pain carries in your body. Leaving you feeling a little more focused and refreshed. I hope this mini-recess helped you. 🙌🏼

Today 84% of American adults report feeling emotions connected to chronic stress. When we don’t properly recover from stressful episodes, we continue absorbing stress unconsciously and it builds up in the body. Next time your body is filled with the sensations of stress, notice what you're noticing. And DO NOT to force yourself to relax immediately after a stressful situation. This is when your brain will run wild with stories that have you blaming, shaming and judging yourself. Do mindful movement instead— with attention and intention to move your awareness from the stressor.
