Sometimes I struggle with this too. I’m trying to understand, but this is one aspect I would like to hear explained. Why do rappers objectify women so much in their music and music videos? I’m not trying to ask that with an opinion already formed in my head; I genuinely want to know what the deeper reason is, if there is one. I’m white, so I’m not going to pretend I know anything about this — I just want to learn and know more. Thank you for writing this piece and helping white people like me wake up.
