How do you put a small town on the map?

Stop allowing them to focus solely on local celebrities and get them to also celebrate the international superstars that have connections to their community.

Get them to stop focusing so much on local impact, and instead get them thinking about how that local change will impact the world.

Invest in community members. They create things that garner global recognition.Celebrate them, instead of yourself.

If your town has solved a problem, shamelessly publicize the solution because other small towns are probably trying to solve that same one too.

Find your towns best feature (pick one for each demographic) and exploit it.

You may not know this, but small towns don’t have to tolerate mediocrity. Expect and only accept excellence if you want to get globally recognized.
