What I Read This Week
I’m finally moved into my apartment, and it’s starting to feel just a little bit like home. I also wrote 4,000 words for the novel I’m working on, all the while putting in all my hours for work. That being said, I also had time to read some interesting articles this week. Let’s have a look.
I can relate to this piece. The truth is that I don’t really know if kids are in the cards for me, and that’s okay. I think there is a lot of judgment out there from people who might not really understand this perspective.
I was doing some research for an article about a town in Louisiana called Houma and found this article. I feel like it really painted a picture of the town and some elements of the local culture foreign to me.
The truth is that I also find myself daydreaming about the palate cleanser from The Princess Diaries. I’m so glad I’m not the only one.
I love Dear Wendy. Her advice is often exactly what I’m thinking. This advice in particular is well-written and compassionate. I know I’m going to return to this advice every once in a while to take it in.
This article from Modern Love was really more fun to read than I thought it would be. I can totally imagine the relationship the writer is describing. I’ve known people who were in that relationship.
This article about writing about your family is so easy to relate to. I totally get this.
I just wanted to end with this adorable story. I love that the dog actually had to sign for her mail.
