Excitement Rising

Sept 25, 2013

21 hours until my flight to Vancouver, Canada takes off. That’s where the “Global Journey” adventure to TomorrowWorld begins!

The excitement never really fully hit me until 3 weeks pre-show. When I bought the ticket almost 5 months ago; it was just a few words on my computer screen. It was a couple months before EDC, maybe as little as a month before EDC, that I had bought my TomorrowWorld Global Journey package. At the time I was fully focused on EDC Las Vegas. My First International Experience. TomorrowWorld was put on the back burner. After EDC came and went I was focusing still on EDC. Post withdrawals and planning an overseas adventure to visit my new German friend that I had made. TomorrowWorld was just a new festival that I knew nothing about. TomorrowLand; the original festival in Belgium really didn’t give me much when it came to what to expect for TomorrowWorld. I decided to just ignore it for a while.

Germany planning started and most things have been budgeted for and planned for before all the details were even worked out with TomorrowWorld. Then it hit me…

TomorrowWorld is three weeks away! What am I going to wear? What should I bring? How will this work? I never brought luggage with me on a flight before. And I’m supposed to bring ALL my camping gear with me. Will I have enough room? What about spending cash? Will I have enough? I had so much to figure out. (Mind of a female right!)

I was forced to think of the festival figuring things out. Still It hadn’t felt like something super important to me in my life. Felt more of a money grab to me. But as time goes on my mind set is starting to change. The Ultra Music Festival 2013 Aftermovie comes out. It gave me a look inside a festival again. Then shortly after that TomorrowLand released their 2013 Aftermovie. I became instantly stoked! I will be experiencing what appears to be a festival 4x the size of EDC. (Figuratively of course) But the mind set seems so much more pure. Time will surely tell.

Counting days really makes things seem to last forever. Having my daily fill of TomorrowWorld. Or should I say TomorrowLand. Especially when all footage is of the festival in Belgium. I was watching the aftermovies daily. TomorrowLand 2012, TomorrowLand 2013, Ultra Music Festival 2012, Ultra Music Festival 2013. Just thinking “Wow! In no time I will be there too!” Shedding a tear here and there thinking of the euphoria that weekend will bring. Especially having experienced the euphoria of EDC. Brings a smile to my face just thinking how much I love my life. It’s a pretty incredible feeling.

Anyways I’m 21 hours from hopping on that plane to start my journey. I have been jumping off walls pretty much and my quirkiness has been rising as well. Just out of now where at work my co workers will have to endure my 3 year old like state of mind. Flailing and making funny faces. Having my mind preoccupied constantly by this festival has had it’s down sides though. Drifting in and out of Lala land isn’t very good when you work for a safety company. I call it NOT GIVING A FUCK MODE.

Well I’m super excited and I can’t wait to show you my journey to TomorrowWorld. (The Go Pro Hero 3 that I recently was able to finally justify buying will be with me where ever I go!)

Stay tuned and stay true. Let the wind guide you.
