Shredventure 2013

Nov 23, 2013

It finally begins. It took me 15 hours to drive to Whistler. I had arrived in town around noon.the day before last. The road conditions were less than ideal; very slow going. But I made it safe and sound. No rush. 13 days in Whistler is plenty for this trip.

So far Whistler has welcomed me in with a super awesome local feel. Everyone is so friendly and chill, so like minded. It’s awesome. But it’s really not all that its cracked up to be. People Living in whistler struggle to survive here. I have picked up hitch hikers and listened to their stories. Sounds pretty rough. But sacrifices have to be made to shred the wicked white of the west.

After two days of riding on Whistler mountain. I have gained back lots of confidence and trying to regain back my snowboarding muscles. I’m so incredibly sore. Whistler it’s self is a massive mountain. You stand in the village look up and you see that it doesn’t appear huge. It’s only 2100 meters tall. But the massive amount of land it covers is incredible. The amount of acres of land it covers is just out of this world.

Tomorrow is gonna be an exploration day with lots of rest. need the muscles to heal so I can shred some more!

Oh and by the looks of things. the Whistler tradition of daily drinking is engulfing me. No wonder people have a hard time affording life.. Shred, Drink, Party, Repeat.

Yea. I meant to leave out sleep. There is a lack of it for sure!

Stay true and stay tuned!
