Venice Explorations!

21:34 Venice, Italy

I keep writing that it’s December and the 2014 tricks me again. Gosh, it might be a while until I get used to the New Year again. Well I explored Murano and a couple other of the islands here. Nothing overly insane. Venice kind of looks the same everywhere.

I only wish I could see all these places during the summer where everything is alive. Trees, insects, wildlife. Everything looks gloomy and dead for the most part. It’s still super sweet though. This city is fairly artsy with their masks and glass work. Murano is huge into glass art. There is a glass making factory there along with almost every shop selling some sort of glass figurine or type of art. I also ventured into Venice during the evening as well. Most of the city looks pretty creepy at night with the graffiti coming out. Most of the graffiti is on the rolling security doors. The lively area are well lit with Christmas decorations and sweet string lights. Oh and I was also able to take a most relaxing bath today. Sadly the jets don’t work on the bath. No biggie it was still just as awesome! Also after my bath there was a bit of a new year’s celebration going on at the hostel with all the girls here and the two what I think are gay guys. Super wicked fellows though. There was Christmas hats given out and champagne had with so so many pictures being taken. I guess that’s the joys of staying in a hostel full of Asian females. They are pretty huge with their selfies and what not. After that was all done we had out cheers and our cake and many laughs. This place is wicked. It’s not super party but they are fairly open yet very relaxed. It’s pretty much opposite of berlin and Paris. Where berlin was no party and Paris was too much party. I’ll be off to bed pretty soon and then tomorrow I will be off to lido to check out the island. I heard there is beaches on that one!! Over and out!
