Palmer Chardonnay, A Local Gem
Value, deal, bargain, budget friendly, and delicious…? In the wonderful world of wine the words “value” or “bargain” don’t always directly correlate with a good quality product. If you shop for wine at places like Bottle Hampton, Costco, or Wine Mart you are probably there because you are on a budget, you have a finite about of money you can spend on wine that week. These places focus on wines they can buy a lot of and sell for cheap. Quick lesson: wine factories like Barefoot, Flip Flop, & Yellow Tail use machines to pick their grapes; machines can’t tell the difference between a rat and a grape, humans can. LOCAL wineries like the one I’m writing to you about today hand harvest their grapes insuring a high quality product without breaking your budget.
Welcome to Palmer Vineyards located at 5120 Sound Avenue, Riverhead NY.

Winemaker Miguel Martin was born and raised in Spain, bringing a certain twist to Palmers wines. In particular, his stainless steel fermented Chardonnay.

This is one of my favorite bottles of wine to sell ( & drink), it is $10.99 a bottle. They serve this by the glass at Rumba and Cowfish in Hampton Bays.
(I know because Monica & I drank about two bottles of it on Valentines Day last year…oops)
Palmers stainless steel Chard is racy and elegant, it fills your nose with notes of citrus spritz, it revitalizes your palate with lovely acidity, green apple, & lemon. It is best to be drank with friends, while cooking dinner. (which is what I did)
→Miguel recently released a “bag” of his Chardonnay that has a 60% lower carbon footprint & is ready to drink in your fridge for up to one month!←
