I have a rectocele as well. It’s gotten worse as I’ve gotten older, and usually to have a bowel movement I have to apply pressure on my perineum (I find external pressure works better than trying to press inside my vagina). Sometimes rocking back and forth is also required; it can be quite the production. I’m not that keen on the idea of a pessary or surgery, so for now it’s just something I put up with.

It’s definitely something that needs to be talked about more.
