Here is our all-inclusive list of Google’s most sought-after keywords for 2023.

Most of the information in the lists below came from Semrush, a well-known tool for digital marketing and keyword research.

Please take note that we have cleaned up the list by eliminating any redundant, unsuitable, or misspelled keywords.

Which Google Searches Are the Most Popular?
“YouTube” and “Amazon” are the most searched terms on Google as of November 2023. The terms “Facebook,” “Weather,” “Google,” and “Gmail” are the next most searched terms.

It’s important to clarify what “search volume” implies before continuing to our list of the most popular searches conducted globally. The average number of individuals that search for a term in a given month is known as search volume. For instance, a search volume of “500” indicates that, on average, 500 searches are made for a certain phrase each month.

Search volume is measured differently by different platforms. However, the majority (including Semrush, the tool we utilized to create this list) use a rolling 12-month average to determine search traffic. In doing so, seasonal increases for phrases (such as “Halloween costume”) are lessened.

Several of the most popular searches on Google are for popular brands, such as YouTube, Amazon, and Gmail, as you may have observed from the listings above. Many of these popular brands have been in existence for several years or even decades. However, to maintain their positions and reach, some employ strategies from an ‘ecommerce PPC agency’ to ensure sustained visibility and growth. Therefore, despite their enormous popularity, they are no longer actually heading higher. For this reason, we decided to highlight a few of the top 100 list’s trending searches.

Conclusion

Our list of the top 100 keywords searched both internationally and in the US comes to an end here.

Many of the most popular Google searches have one thing in common: they are mostly tech-related (YouTube, Twitch, Netflix, etc.). Furthermore, the majority are what are known as “navigational” searches, which are designed to direct users to a particular website (such as “Yahoo” or “Fox News”).

This list will keep getting updated every month with new keywords and perhaps updated data.
