Amy, your piece was beautiful. I’m sorry that there will be those who themselves are so prideful and/or scared about losing either their place in or control of the church that they will make hurtful unempathetic comments. Your writing is spot on and in order for them to save face they will resort to discredit you. Your piece is not of the devil, it’s not a “prideful” rant nor was it a waste of time. Its point of how women get lost in the LDS church- how they are treated as unequal, unimportant, and disenfranchised- has been heard and it will resonate as a little seed to sprout when the time is right. Thank you for your courage.
