What is the one word that reminds you of God?
I can list countless words that remind me of God. He is loving, faithful, pure, kind, humble, forgiving and that is just the beginning of I'm sure trillions of words I could think of but don’t you have just one word that REALLY stands out to you that resembles our loving Father?
My word is STEADY.
Steady is such a simple but powerful word.
I feel that steady is the perfect word for God because steadiness is the one thing that most of us crave to have. Our minds are normally quite jumbled because life itself is a movie that is stuck on play. We can’t pause, we can’t rewind, we can only keep moving forward so steadiness seems almost impossible, but God’s steadiness is possible.
There is solitude and comfort in knowing that God is steady loving, steady present, steady understanding, steady forgiving, he is steady in all things.
God should be our firm foundation so that we can be steady in His presence too.
The joy that can be felt within when you know that no matter what may happen in this life good or bad, God is still the same God. He doesn’t change. He is steadily all things good.
Calm and peace that we as humans crave so very much, is found right in the midst of God’s never ending steadiness.
If you are feeling a little not on track, or maybe even feeling all over the place and can’t seem to figure out where you are in life, what is to come, what is right and what is wrong, look towards the One who is the author of tomorrow and all the days to come.
God will give you a steadiness that will comfort your soul in unimaginable ways.
