As we enter the new year I am trying to put together a list of things I am looking forward to. Here it goes

2014 is the year I learn marketing

I think my personal theme for 2014 is probably going to be ‘marketing’. This year I will learn how to market products and hopefully will learn enough to build a successful business. I have finally managed to put myself in a situation where I have to learn marketing to survive. I will start with demand generation and eventually start focusing on brand marketing by the end of the year.

Building a ‘whole’ team

I am going to be building a team alone for the first time. I have built teams before but they were for the other companies and I was never final decision maker. Most of the teams I have built were tech focused and this time around I will be building a ‘whole’ team. I think this will be a challenge where I learn a lot.

The biggest bet yet

A number of small bets I have been placing are starting to add up and turning into a massive one. It looks like July is going to be the Judgement month. So Q1 & Q2 are going to be the most crucial and challenging. Q3 is going to be about clarity and planning forward. I cannot predict what Q4 will bring, yet.

Blogging more

I look forward to blogging more this year. I have finally figured out what I want to write about. I am going to be focusing on startups and bootstrapping. I have always been meaning to write about startups but I think i’ve finally figure out what I want to say. Lets see how that goes.
