- Just a day after the Supreme Court asked the states to put an immediate end to stubble-burning, farm fires raged on in Punjab on 5th November to register the second-highest count of the season so far with nearly 5053 fires in Punjab and 359 from Haryana. The highest was recorded on 4th November with 6882 fire spots as detected by NASA’a VIIRS and Modi’s satellites.
- The finance ministry is looking at possible ways to revive the real estate sector and as Nirmala Sitharaman said, “The government is very keen and is working very clearly together with Reserve Bank of India to see how best we can make necessary tweaks to the existing blocks to help the people who are affected in this one sector which I have not really completely addressed till now.”
