60 sun salutations is quite a bit and even for a person who leads a very active lifestyle, it is important to build it up slowly. This is how I achieved it in May of this year.
12 salutations : day 1, day 2, day 3
24 salutations : day 4, day 5, day 6
36 salutations : day 7, day 8, day 9, day 10, day 11
48 salutations : day 12, day 13, day 14, day 15, day 16
60 salutations : day 17, day 18, day 19, day 20, day 21
Before sun salutations, its best to do some warm up exercises and after completing, it’s best to rest for some time in shavasana position.

I am a big believer in yoga and I feel that yoga can help cure a lot of things and push you on the more healthy side of life. It helps you think straight and helps you thing clearly. It has helped me with my allergies and since most of us are desktop users and sit long hours in front of a screen, it does help with many of our back issues.
Doing sun salutations in large numbers is like doing an intense cardio workout and you can do it in your living room 😀
