And that’s because clowns are funny and grumpy cats are, well, grumpy.
So I was texting this person right now, and we had one of those “serious conversations.”
(If you’re a guy, you feel my pain).
Ladies, we hate those conversations.
Great start to the new year right?
So anyway, we were talking, and then I just tried to bring it back to a happier note where we’re talking about daisies and puppies and sh!t.
Ok well not those things, but happy things.
And this teaches an important lesson in marketing, my little penguin.
If you’re going to try to get your prospects to buy from you, there are many ways to persuade them.
You can talk to their problems (and obviously your product has to be the solution).
You can talk to their fears (and position your product as the cure).
I’ll discuss those in future emails, but for now, let’s talk about being fun.
No one wants to read something serious. Trust me. You will get people to buy if you put them at ease. If you make them feel good and calm and everything that’s not serious.
Make ’em laugh. Be funny. It works like a charm.
