The “talk”
I was talking to a friend today, and he shared with me.
Poor guy.
He had one of those “talks” with this girl that he’s trying to date right now.
I don’t want to go into too many details, but it was obviously an uncomfortable conversation for him (you’re probably cringing right now too if you’re a guy).
But there’s something good that always comes out of these conversations.
“Whaaat?” you may be thinking.
It’s true.
Because usually after such talks, things are clear. People know where they stand in the relationship. There’s no gray area anymore. And he was very glad for that.
In your business, you need to be very clear and set expectations right.
People like to over promise an under deliver, instead of the age-old “under promise and over deliver.” Basically, don’t promise more than you’re going to deliver.
Don’t bite off more than you can chew (does that even relate to what we’re talking about?)
