Day 4 of 30: There is light after all!

I couldn’t run the last few days due to a bad ankle injury.
Today, I bounce back.

Distance: 2.5mi
Pace: ~10min/mi
Mood: very happy

This was a very controlled run. Even though running at a slower pace takes less physical effort, it took some serious concentration to make sure I was listening to my body. I don’t have the luxury to be carefree because the race is coming up and frankly I’m under-prepared for this. I’m doing my best to avoid re-injury.

So I’ve invested some cash in getting new shoes, new socks, new boxer briefs. Not just any boxer briefs, these are the performance tier, making it the core piece of my running equipment.

I also shaved my head for some odd reason. I’ll spare you picture for that one. I’m hoping the it will help somehow. Maybe the new hair style will bring in some good luck.

When I opened my new packs of socks from Saucony, one of the six pairs matched my Asics Nimbus perfectly. This shall be my official foot armor on race day. See? Shaving your head does work some magic.

Today’s run felt fresh and strong. I hope I can repeat the same success tomorrow morning. Thanks for reading!
