Sharing the core principles of partnering, one of which is Transparency

This multi-sector workshop was an energetic start to Thursday (August 16 2018). Hosted by Cargill, convened by Asia Leaders’ Forum and facilitated by Asia P3 Hub, participants from business, research institutions and not-for-profits debated and reflected on the importance of purpose, sustainability, innovation and the power of collaboration.

44% of business leaders cited innovation and new market opportunities as key drivers to explore sustainability challenges (McKinsey, 2014). This sentiment was apparent in the room as we explored benefits, challenges and incentives of working together across sectors, disciplines and countries.

Partnerships require a willingness to explore shared value equations and the benefits of pooling resources and assets in new, creative ways. Taking time to build trusting relationships is key to build partnerships that benefit and leverage complementary resources and generate innovation, and problem solving.

Asia Leaders’ Forum (ALF) is building a space to explore different approaches within a safe community. Wiser Work, an ALF initiative, is co-creating a charger with ALF members to create such a space for leaders to contribute to wider, purposeful goals for themselves and their organizations.
