TEACHER: The Guardian of LIFE
Teachers are our life guiders, in fact, they are our second parents. A father will guide you in life, a mother will protect your life, but a teacher will teach you how to live a life. The teacher is not only the person who teaches you in schools, colleges and university, but it can be anyone from whom you learned a lesson in your life.
A good teacher is like a candle — it consumes itself to light the way for others. — Mustafa Kemal Atatürk
The stage of life, at which I am right now is not just because of myself, there are some people who support me in every moment of my life no matter directly or indirectly, but they did. Today when I saw my life through the balcony, I realized that there were some people who at least deserved a thank you from me for their sacrifices.

I was in my 8th class and the type of student who had no interest in his studies. I wasted my time in games and watching TV. My midterm papers were near, and I was not even in a stage of passing the exams. My father worried a lot due to this non serious behavior of mine, so one day he came to my school and requested a teacher to give me home tuition and that teacher was “Hafiz Muhammad Shahid”. He agreed and started teaching me from the next day. At the start, it was a little frightening moment for me as I was never taught like this before.
My journey of strict life began from there as daily report was given to my father, so I have to study this time. Time by time he takes quizzes on a daily basis and sometimes for a lighter mood started talking with me related to his life incidences. After such a struggle, I managed to pass the exams and when I was promoted to 9th class, I was stunned at that time because of my first day I came to know about that my class teacher is Sir Shahid.
Again, my hard days started, but this time I had made some commitments after the first session with sir, he said “you are the only person in your family who was not even able to pass the exam” These words provoked the hardworking version of myself. I don’t want to face, embarrassed words and time again and ultimately I started to achieve my life goals and had just risen and rose after that. I never looked back after that and keep on doing productive work.
Being the mathematics teacher, he still taught me the rest of the subjects through his commitments and sincerity towards his career. He not only took help from other teachers for the clarification of the concepts, but he also searches some points so that he will be able to teach me the concept of the subject rather than cramming.
Teachers affect eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops.

After reaching such peaks of life, I am thanking him for everything he gave to me in my life and showing my respect and love for him through this letter which I made for him and a small gift of a pen. He hopefully will receive these honors after two days as he was shifted to North side of Pakistan 3 years ago.

I met many people like him in my life who not only taught me but also guide me and support me all my life. I proudly named my father as he always stands with me. The decision he made for this home tuition, the decision he made during my college admission, the support he gave me during my bad health conditions and so on. Basically, I can’t just count his favor, love and support and list down all in a single blog. I have to write a million blogs for that and I think that will not be enough too. I will thank my father, but not right now, I have some surprises for him for his birthday in coming months.
To my father. If I can become half the man he is, I’ll have achieved greatness. — Author Unknown
