The industry holds most of the responsibility for all the confusion. A quick look we could point to these 3 areas:
1) it’s just a part of evolution. New things come into our lives, we try to make sense out of it and unfortunately sometimes it’s messy at the beginning
2) a major problem lies with a very dirtied digital “marketing” industry. This industry didn’t take care of itself and allowed quick money to distort ethics and pragmatism and
3) business leaders aren’t doing what they should have been doing — learn it and follow practical and sensible disciplined approach to digital marketing.
Now it’s re-education and revolution time. Time for more ethical practitioners to speak up and deliver meaningful contents. No more bait and switch, vanity numbers and “over night success” bull shit tactics.
