The 2021 Fashion Awards are about to begin

Organized by the British Fashion Council (BFC) in association with the social network TikTok, the Fashion Awards 2021 are about to honor top fashion personalities.

The event will take place on Monday evening at London’s Royal Albert Hall and will award various awards, including the Designer of the Year Award and the BFC Foundation Award. The nominees for the Designer of the Year Award are: Daniel Lee for Bottega Veneta, Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga, Jonathan Anderson for JW Anderson and Loewe, Kim Jones for Dior Men and Fendi and finally Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons for Prada. Among the other awards given, that of Leaders of Change that will recognize a brand or designer that has created a positive change in the fashion industry during the last 12 months.

This edition will be marked by the intensification of its distribution thanks to a partnership with TikTok. The social network will share a live performance by British singer-songwriter Griff, as well as various interviews, behind-the-scenes forays and the award ceremony, hosted by actor and singer Billy Porter.

The event will take place in a particular climate, the world of fashion learned on Sunday night of the disappearance of a great figure of contemporary fashion,Virgil abloh. The American designer took the stage at the British Fashion Awards in 2017 to receive the Urban Luxe award and was also nominated for the Designer of the Year award in 2018.
