Inspired Palette 04 — “The Fire”
*a curated playlist created to inspire you to do

When you have a fire within you, it can’t be hidden. It spreads, it grows, but still it must be contained. I think when I look at the landscape of both sports and creativity, there’s a lot of things I could have referenced back to for this week’s Inspired Palette but I handpicked 5 good videos for you that personally stoked the fire inside me. As always, my desire is that hopefully it’ll do the same for you, so you can go and do great things as well.
Marketing Video: “Stay On” — Powerade
I really loved the journey through fame and notoriety that this piece portrayed and how much it reminds me in the faith to keep my light on despite the consequences that comes with being light in a dark place. I also love the extended versions of marketing videos because it allows a story to build further.
Profile Video: “My Future Self | Fuel Your Fire: Milos Raonic” — New Balance
You can once again thank The Players Tribune for introducing me to this video. I love how that platform just gives us a deeper glimpse into what these professional athletes both have gone through and are going through. This letter to his future self is both reflective and prospective and I think it’s awesome how they portray that.
Film/Recap Video: “Let It Burn” — Wyoming FCA
Still to this date, this is one of my favorite videos for FCA I’ve ever seen. I enjoy how it both encourages and challenges in a cinematic style, I love the shots and the various perspectives conveyed. The narrator guides along the score of this piece and then delivers the dagger in the closing line “Let It Burn”.
Wildcard: “Generation Z: Zion Williamson Is The Future of Basketball” — SLAM Magazine
I enjoy watching Zion Williamson play but even more than that, I love hearing the journey of how he got to where he is. I think SLAM did an excellent job of sharing the story of the emergence of Zion and the fire he plays with.
Wildcard: “The Storm” — Georgia Football
This is one of the first videos I ever liked on Vimeo. I still get chills watching it. I found out that the guy behind it (one of them) is named Frank Martin and I’ve become a huge fan of his style and his work. This video is from 2 years ago but last year, he built an entire series throughout the season called “Autumn Fire” (you should check it out HERE). He invokes both emotion and action in his pieces but channels it toward creating and strengthening the bond of his audience (primarily UGA fans/alum but also to sports and southern enthusiasts around the world).
Now it’s your turn to tell me what’s on your Inspired Palette. Shoot me a link on Twitter or tag me on Instagram (bnice21). Any videos or graphics that catch your eye, shoot them my way.
