in person drop of resume

In person drop means drop by hand, meet someone personally for reason. This term is usually used for resume dropping in-person. Meet someone personally shows your passion and love for them. It shows you are interested in that company.

I had to go an extra mile to drop my resume in person for my dream job. I want to work as a perfusionist at Doctors hospital. Before night I had search almost 5–7 websites for in-depth information. I prepare my resume and cover letter according to the job description.

Early morning, I dressed up and go for the in-person drop. A gatekeeper. asked me about my purpose of coming, I introduce myself and asked to meet an HR manager.

He took me to the HR department. After 15 minutes HR called me in office. After salutation, he asked me about myself. I started with my elevator pitch.

He asked 2 or 3 questions more which I answered confidently. He was impressed and assured me when there will be a vacancy he will call me.

I found difficulty in finding the name of HR manager. I called the office but the operator refused to tell me.

This experience boosts up my confidence, and I know my shortcomings where I am lacking and in which areas I have to do practice.
