  5. Don’t do PhD if you want to be an entrepreneur or work in corporate sector

In order to complete the task, I reach out one of my friend and share with her these tips. It was not possible to meet her because she is out of station now a days, so I call her and we talk these tips in detail. I became surprised and came to know about few new things that we discuss regarding to these tips.

Here brief describe that we conclude against each tip.

  1. Find your passion and align it with your career

This is very true that synchronize your passion with your career. But here, we have a minor conflicting point of view that sometimes we can’t pursue our passion according to our career or field because we need to consider most of the things while choosing our career.

But after discussion the result is that if we enter in any field we have many chances to grow our many other fields as well. But first of all, we have to step in any working environment.

2. Decisions are very unique to each person, what’s right for one isn’t right for the other

When you are discussing with the other person related to your field, you came across many fields and professions, as well as the pros and cons of those field. So, you choose that career that is best suitable for you. And here we need to consider the positive and negative aspects of each decisions. Don’t take any decision in anger or relaxing mode. Fully analyze the field and then decide.

3. Own your decisions: Don’t let other people make decisions for you and don’t blame anyone else

Well, it is a general problem with us, we immediately start blaming on others for what we have done. But here need to understand the if you have taken any decision stick on that and own that decision. Suppose if we taken any wrong decision, but if we think about it what can maximum happen in the result of that decision. That decision will surely give you an experience in the end. So, first of all you have enough potential to make any decision and then own that decision.

4. Do an internship before pursuing a higher degree to confirm if you like that field/industry

Internship basically give you an idea of the working environment according to your field, so you have to know how about the working condition before starting any professional career. Because most of the times you become able to solve many problems in your internship.

5. Don’t do PhD if you want to be an entrepreneur or work in corporate sector

Yes! Agree with this tip, PhD is suitable for those who become a researcher or a bookworm in future, not suitable for those who wants to do something practically in their career. Because when you step in to you practical field that is another world than books and research works. It is possible as you have much knowledge regarding to that field, and may be you start vomiting that knowledge instead of digesting, and this situation may cause a difficult situation for others.

6. Spend at least one year in your first job

The main point regarding to any job, you have to understand the working condition and working requirements of that job. Because we may used to do our work as we do in our studies, but the scenario of job is completely different from the study life.

So, we need to adjust our self in that job, but if we unable to adjust our self after 6–12 months then we have to switch our job. But firstly try to accommodate our self with working circumstances.
