I feel sorry for you. You don’t understand Bitcoin at all. You take sides and view this as a political issue, but politics should never be a factor in Bitcoin development. That’s the whole point of it: be a decentralized currency, owned by no one. Any proposals against that fundamental principle are against Bitcoin itself.
And that’s the point this article is trying to make. Segwit2x is being pushed by miners to increase centralization — which is not evil, just selfish — but should be opposed by the community for the sake of everyone else.
The fact that some core developers are involved in the attacks against Bitcoin doesn’t mean anything. No one’s word should have any authority whatsoever in deciding the future of the criptocurrency — only the voice of masses should carry any authority. The fact that miners hold so much power already is not a feature, it’s a glitch — they’re a few centralized entities, which shouldn’t be able to push against the larger community.
“Censorship” is not good, but whatever happens in Reddit happens in Reddit. Shouldn’t mean anything for Bitcoin as a whole. You are confusing the trees for the forest; most people opposing 2x are doing it for Bitcoin’s sake, not their own.
