Black Dwarf Stars — An Exotic Type Of Star

Black stars can exist, and no I am not talking about black holes!

(Not an actual image😁)

After a star like our Sun uses all its fuel, it becomes a white dwarf. A white dwarf is what remains of a star with low or medium mass below 10 solar masses. What’s interesting though is that scientists say that over hundreds of billions or even trillions of years, this white dwarf will cool and fade, eventually becoming a black dwarf.
Black dwarfs are white dwarfs that have cooled enough to no longer emit significant heat nor light. Sadly they are still only theoretical stars because the universe simply isn’t old enough for any to exist yet! (Even though the universe is 13.7 Billion years old)
