DMT is carried around the brain by the cerebrospinal fluid, and the quantity of DMT seems related to the quantity of CSF in the brain. Patients of IIH, or any condition that leads to increased CSF in the brain, are prone to the hallucinations and extremely vivid dreams, that are impactful enough to be recalled on waking up, characterized by an excess of DMT.
