a lover conversing with a city (01)

Your laughter travels through my body, shaking a heart from its little comfort cage. How I wish to take you inside me; inside you. How I wish a little embrace to calm a shaking body, aimlessly wandering your streets. The pains of the moment flaming the desire, still. Your walls. Your domes. Your heart. Your soul. Your body. To consume all of you till there’s nothing left for anyone else. Nothing left for any invader or uninvited settler. I may resign to the thought of never belonging within your walls. Yet no matter the years, a promised land forever will be.. mine
