Death is terrifying
Pete Ross

My feeling is that when people say they’re not afraid of death, they either, as you proposed, haven’t thought about it deeply enough (likely), or have not elaborated sufficiently in their conclusion by going on to say something to the effect of “I am not afraid of death to the point of any anxiety I feel about it impinging on xxx aspect of my life”. Is there anything more courageous than truly living in the face of inevitable oblivion?
