A simple story to be told. Some may say it is an allegorical tale of giants and little people. Some may say it is fantasy and dismiss it as a fairy tale to be told to children and feeble minds. Some may say it is a dream to be found and cherished.
Whatever the case may be, we, each of us are at a crossroad; a junction or intersection, that has taken 30 years or so to converge. We sense it in the air around us. …
Those of you old enough will most likely remember those big, big flashlights, with 5 “D” cell batteries. The brightest light this side of Mars, so I thought.
I was maybe 7 or 8 when I first learned that stars were lights and I surmised, if that is true, then all one would have to do to make a star, was to shine it up to the sky at night. Getting the brightest light I knew at the time, required some stealth and crafty plans. You see, my father was a repairman and as such was rather fastidious about his…
Just what is Illudium?
Well, it seems that Warner Bros. came up with the term to describe a material that eludes any attempt to develop it. Simple as that! It’s been around for a long time now. The cartoons ran until about 1969. Over 60 years have gone by, and we are still searching for that illusive material called Illudium.
We will ever find it? It is in a very real sense, near us all.
To alt, or not to alt: that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
and by opposing end them?
In 1616, it is said, that these words were written in a time of great upheaval. Many monarchies were overthrown with the beat of change coming down the dusty trails.
Is it not unlike the times we find ourselves in?
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, ’tis a consummation

We’ve all heard the hype! How blockchain technology will make the centralized data-lords fall to the will of the people. That we shall no longer be poked and prodded along, like sheep to the slaughter, while the champions of data squeeze every part of our daily lives into a money-making enterprise.
The story has been told, over and over. Yet, here we are in the midst of a data deluge, frankly suffocating in information, in an age where our Google-brains cry for more and then more again. This information comes from somewhere.
But where we may ask? Where is data…
Was the “Wizard of Oz”, a metaphor, an allegory or simply a story for little children?
Comparisons help us to better understand the evolution and etymology of a new idea or subject we endeavor to learn.
Enter then the word, Aikido.
It is so small, but in many ways, one of the most significant additives a life lived well utilizes. The superfluity, contained within these two small letters, is astonishing. Within them is embodied new beginnings, a new adventure, new thoughts and objectives, a freshness and consideration that can and must beckon us to become. It is in being, that each of us, individually and corporately, go to new and greater achievements.
Before you react to these statements, as given by the poet and dreamer, this pen simply asks you to reconsider, or maybe more appropriately reimagine a world where each…
We’re living at a remarkable time in history, what has been called the “final frontier”. We looked up to the sky, as little ones, and saw the twinkle of the stars, some of us may have even wished upon them as they shot across the sky. It is called Space, for lack of a better term, because it is vast, almost incomprehensible, beautiful, mysterious, ominous at times, and even magical.
One may say that space is for dreamers and little children, for the nerdy scientist, cosmologists, astrophysicists and theoreticians. Yet, recent trends indicate some astounding facts. The drum is beating…
