About Agni, Inc.:

Agni is building a new product category: food-based remedies. We seek to make the healing powers of food and herbs accessible to all, and in doing so offer new ways for consumers to take their health into their own hands. Our products are inspired by ancient wisdom and vetted by modern nutrition. We are relentless about ensuring they are delicious, familiar, and easy to incorporate into daily life.

Eventually we will offer care packages and subscriptions filled with foods to support everything from prenatal nutrition to cold and flu to surgery recovery. We work with food geniuses and our Medical Advisory board to make sure our products are delicious as they are efficacious. The first products we will offer are designed to support postpartum recovery, better periods, and smooth menopause transitions.

We are constantly learning about the body’s capacity to heal itself, especially when provided with the right nutrients and experiences. We are often trading book recommendations, swapping new recipes, and have been known to share our latest kitchen creations with one another over team meetings :)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a People Operations teammate to help team Agni thrive by infusing Agni’s cultural values into everything we do and translating our cultural vision into our space, our habits, and our processes. You’ll do this primarily by curating and maintaining a safe, beautiful, energizing workspace and spearheading an Agni-aligned recruiting, interviewing and onboarding process. You’ll have the opportunity to build and own Agni’s manager training and review processes. You’ll also work closely with our co-founders to design and lead everything from awesome semi-annual team off sites to weekly rituals like team meditation.

The ideal candidate is excited to grow their people operations skills.

You’ll play a key role in building a beautiful, thriving culture at Agni.

While this is not an office manager role, willingness to roll up your sleeves and support office operations for 1–2 years is a must.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Curate and maintain a safe, beautiful, energizing office space
  • Protect the team’s time by expecting and handling 95% of inbound arrivals of people, vendors, and packages
  • Spearhead and run an Agni-aligned recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of third-party tools and features as needed for people-related processes; identify any additional platform / service needs
  • Build and guide Agni’s best practices around every team member’s personal and professional growth
  • Work with co-founders to plan internal and external team events including semi-annual offsite, weekly team rituals (e.g. yoga/meditation), and special events

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of work experience (undergrad jobs/internships count)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hunger to learn and earn as much responsibility as you can
  • High interpersonal awareness; ready to apply intuition and intellect to identifying cultural challenges and opportunities and to propose solutions
  • Strong sense of ownership — you want to give things a crack on your own before asking for help
  • You’re happy to both lead strategy and get your hands dirty! No ask is too big or too small
  • Experience supporting a growing team’s people operations is a plus
