Hello everyone.
I think, it`s time to write about food. Actually, I wanted to write this post a week ago, but was too lazy to do it. And now, while insomnia holding me in her grippy hands, I`m going to tell you about my nutrition.
Some people think, if you`re vegan, you are somehow restricting your dishes choices. And that`s not true at all, cause I discovered so many new tastes, food, dishes, seasoning, etc, so that is hard to remember all of them.
Anyway, there are a lot of blogs and sites/communities about vegan recipes and you can find anything you want, beginning from vegan pizza and ending vegan ice cream.
Nonetheless, I couldn`t find a good sites with healthy low calories and low fat recioes for such anxious people like me. And now I`m going to start sharing my collection of recipes and some secrets how to keep fit.

At this picture you can see my ordinary weekly purchase of products. Let`s see what I have there: 1. black rice; 2. black pasta (which was added just because of color. I don`t actually eat this because of cuttlefish ink); 3. Diet muesli; 4. pasta with carrot juice; 5. mango sauce; 6. vegetable galettes; 7. baby carrots as a snack; 8. wholegrain diet bread (138 kcal); 9. fruits such as banana, apple and avocado; 10. dried cranberry, almonds,cabbage and lentils; 11. soy sauce.
As you can see, there are not too many products, but it`s enough for one week or smth like this. Truly say, I use to eat a lot of carrots, so they are always in my refrigerator, and sometimes I buy steamed vegetables at vegeterian cafe. So, what do you need to remember when you want to lose some weight or just keep fit? There are easy rules :
- More green vegetables and salads. They are low in calories, doesn`t contain fats and are reach in fiber. You can also eat salads as a snack, when there are no time to cook.
- Don`t be possessed by nuts and dried fruits/berries. Really, be carefull with this. For the first time (and when I get nervous or have insomnia) i felt like nut junkie, there wasn`t a day without nuts. But one day I just wanted to know the weight of nuts I`ve just eaten… There were 20g or more, and that`s only in one portion! So I decided to have 10-15 nuts a day, no more. Anyway, sometimes I feel so bad about nuts and can eat 50-100g. Don`t make such a mistake, cary on with this drugs)
- Add one new product a week. This is a way to avoid routine in your nutrition. Start with some exotic vegetables, than try new fruits and grains. Soya products are good too: tofu, soy protein, soy “meat” (but i don`t like the name of this product, cause it`s not like meat at all), soy drinks and yogurts/ dessets. Also there is one interesting thing- seitan. Can`t say something about it, cause I haven`t tasted it yet, but a lot of vegans/vegeterians like it.
- Spices. There are so many spices in the world! You can find a lot of them at indian(asian) stores, big grocery stores, or just buy via web-sites, luckily there are a lot of them. Honestly, how many types of spices do you use/know? I think, the answer should probably include few peppers, oregano, basil, rosemary, cardamon, mustard, cinnamon, coriander, cumin, curry, ginger, licorice, mint, nutmeg, saffron, vanilla, wasabi, some seeds. But actually, you could try much more and explore new tastes of wellknown dishes. I can advise for the beginning try asafoetida, fenugreek, celery seeds and leaves, cloves, kawakawa, lemongrass, marjoram, star anis. Sure, that you would find smth special and would love new spices) Btw, there are a lot of spice mixes too, so you can choose anything you like for any occasion.
- Drink a lot of water, green tea, fresh juice and any other healthy drinks, which can include some fruits, vegetables, etc. By the way, you can make so many “milk” shakes from nuts milk or soy milk or rice milk. They are incredibly tasty and contains a lot of nutrients as well. And drinking should help you don`t feel hungry for all the time, cause most of people confuse hunger with thirst and it is difficult to identify real physical hunger for the first time. That`s why many of newbie vegans use to eat a lot of unhealthy and high calorie food.
- And the last “rule”. Stay optimistic and positive) Don`t be conducted on provocations and don`t take part in agressive disputes with people who won`t change their mind in any case. Sadly, but there are some of people, who will be carnivore even if the world will collapsed.
But anyway, you should look for good and nice thing with your new way of livivng and soon you`ll notice that you feel better and everything around looks better.
Lets see some of my typical meals.

So, this is an amazing dish for dinner: cous cous, corn, pepper, cauliflower, peas, tofu and mushrooms. After one portion you feel satiety and won`t be hungry for a few hours.



My favorite companions for reading books, drawing or studying. Carrot sweets are so simple to make and tomato cookies have very unsual taste
Typical salad for the lunch at work or university: iceberg lettuce, basil, fresh mint, corn, carrots and few crushed peanuts


Very nice and simple breakfast: tofu in soy sauce with wacame. You need only add a hot water to dried wacame and cook tofu with soy sauce for a few minutes. Sweets are simple too, but you need a couple of hours to cool them.
One of my favorite 5 minute salads: few different lettuces, and carrot. The best dish when you hurry up.
And another salad) It is green salad with iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, microgreen, lollo rossa, almonds, green apple and flax seeds.
