COSMOS AI Research Group, YTU Computer Engineering Department
Hello all,
I’d like to introduce to you COSMOS, the AI research group of Yildiz Technical University Computer Engineering department that I’m a part of.
At COSMOS, led by Prof. Mehmet Fatih Amasyali, we are working on cutting-edge artificial intelligence articles and projects. While we’re planning to work on all fields of the AI, our current focus is Large Language Models (LLMs) in Turkish language. We’re proudly being supported by TUBITAK, the official scientific research institution of Turkey.
Just two months after we were founded in January 2024, we’ve just released our newest Turkish language model “cosmosGPT”. It is a small model with 750M parameters but competes with similar models with 5–10x parameters in terms of response quality. You can easily demo it from here:
We’ve written our first research paper and looking forward to publish it . We’re working on various new language models, projects and papers; stay tuned to our social media accounts to hear more from us.
