Yes, yes, yes. I left my 20+ year marriage and swore that I was not interested in a relationship anytime soon, and took a wonderfully skilled lover as an act of self love. In the meantime, I had compiled a list of attributes that I would be ticking off when relationship time rolled around. By the time the first candidate on my list came along, I was unimpressed with many of the items on my list that I had deemed so important. I’m still with my lover who has segued into my partner, who is generous with his time and skills, compassionate, gentle and self-reliant. I realized I enjoy taking care of myself, emotionally and financially, and equally love having someone dependable to share my ups and downs with.
