You mean you’d rather watch a movie than read a book? Many popular films, including It, The Shawshank Redemption, Carrie, Dreamcatcher, and many more, are based on books and stories written by Stephen King.

Before we go through the entire list of Stephen King’s books in chronological order, let’s take a moment to identify him.

Who is Stephen King?

Born on September 21, 1947, Stephen King is an American writer. He’s one of the most well-known horror authors. He was an English teacher before he started writing. His home state of Maine serves as the setting for several of his books, including “Salem’s Lot,” “Pet Sematary,” and “Carrie.”

The interesting part of the plot comes from his descriptions of familiar locations, which he turns into a parallel universe.

“The Glass Floor,” his debut short story, was published. In 1967, Startling Mystery Stories purchased it. In 1971, our author wed Tabitha Spruce, the well-known author of One on One.

What Did Stephen King Write?

Stephen King penned sixty-three novels in all. In addition, he authored about 120 novellas and 120 short stories. He has five nonfiction books published.

Richard Bachman was the pen name used for seven of his published books. He didn’t want to publish multiple books under the same name, which is why. He eventually compiled all seven novels into The Bachman Books.
