The Weeknd, Beauty Behind the Madness Tour, Toronto, November 3, 2015, Air Canada Centre

The Weeknd is our generation’s Michael Jackson. That. Is. All.

See exhibits 1–1,000,000.

As my friend and I sat back and took in his performance in Toronto this past Tuesday, we couldn’t help appreciating the enormity of what we were experiencing. Like this one was really going to matter. One day we were going to talk about how we witnessed genius…

Our generation’s Billie Jean…

Or maybe for that one time two crazy people rushed the stage during The Weeknd’s performance…

Or for enjoying the song of 2015…

Or that one time (likely of many) we saw a woman throw her undergarments at him…

Or that one time (lying, many) that I couldn’t figure out how to film an entire song…

Or that my new iPhone 6s could take videos like this…

Or that these were are seats…

Or that we got screwed by not getting to see Ed Sheeran like those who went to Day 2. (Not mine, but yeah…)

Or that this display of brilliance happened…

However history is going to remember this tour is anyone’s guess. All we know is that it was magical…

As were the Bulgogi tacos (lunch on wheels at 12:00am?) we devoured from the awesome food truck on King West after…

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
