If You Could Buy Everything, How Much Would You Spend?

I think I already do this with candy (and snacks in general). I control my impulse to over-indulge by keeping it around at a constant level — there are always several different types of candy sitting around at my house and it lends itself to unconscious self-imposed satiety. If I can always have access to it, I don’t feel like I need it in the same way that I do if it’s not around and I want it. It’s just there, it’s always there, I don’t have any associations with scarcity attached to it. Thus I’m usually fine with having a bite sized candy bar or two every night and leaving it at that. It’s rare that I even want more than that.

But I tend towards a “too much of a good thing ruins it” personality.
