I think I estimated $150 and I think I went over because steak tips.

Friday: got bad news about our single frozen blast (definitely not viable — it’s missing chromosome 21 and has an extra copy of #22). So now we have to start over and try again. Mostly it seems like the more we try, the lower our odds become. I left work at like 3:30/4, got a pedicure ($25) and spent $22 on a bottle of coconut rum and $39 at the grocery store on stuff for having people over plus some stuff for our trip next week. Then I realized we didn’t have the spiced rum the drink (we did the mango castaway (drink #1) and it was AMAZING), so husband went and got a bottle. Not sure what he spent, so we’ll say $20. Then people came over, we grilled some hot dogs, drank some frozen boozy mango drinks, and had a good time.

Saturday: slept in, got breakfast sandwiches from Flour and ate them on the patio ($19). Then my husband was making a grocery list for our trip to the Outer Banks next week and realized that Sudbury Farms grocery store in Needham had steak tips on sale for $5.99/lb. WHICH IS WHAT THEY SHOULD COST AND NOT THIS WHOLE BULLSHIT $11/LB THEY SEEM TO COST NOW. Steak tips are delicious, dammit. Anyhow, we took a trip there and bought $60 worth of steak tips but saved $49.95. 3lbs went to my mom but the other 7lbs are coming to NC to feed 14 people. I hope that’s enough. Then we came home and took a walk across town to check out the interactive art exhibit on the Greenway and the Trillium Beer garden ($20 on two beers with tip). Stopped at a wine tasting spur of the moment on the walk back and bought a $20 of wine to give his mom when we’re in NC. Then husband went to Revs game (spent $8 on McDonalds for dinner) and I had a relaxing night at home.

Sunday: checked out Cafe Madeline (French pastry place in the South End, $24 for two coffees and four fancy pastries) and then gathered up the fake kids to go see my parents. All my siblings wound up showing up and a good time was had by all. Then we spent $20 on some Dairy Queen for us and the girls on the way home.

Total: about $260
